On Sunday 21st May the band ventured over to Holmfirth for the Holme Valley Brass Band contest at the Civic Hall.
Playing the hymn tune “Abide with me” and the own choice test piece of Paul Lovat-Cooper’s “Vitae Aeternum”, the band came away with the second prize in Section B as well as the prize for Best Trombone Section in Section B.
Then band continues to progress through the Second Section following their promotion in the New Year and will be looking for more success as the year goes on.
The band will be playing next at the Easingwold March Contest on June 24th.
