Awards Night

Crofton Silver Band held its annual awards evening at the Arkaan Indian restaurant in Crofton. Tim Sidwell the bands MD decided on the recipients of two awards - The Player of the Year and The Most Improved Player of the Year. Tim decided upon Allen Clutton to be the Player of the Year for his tireless hard work and solid playing, Tim said it would be easy to choose one of the corner men but if it wasn’t for the unsung heroes of the band we would not have had the success we deserved this year. Whilst Jack Turner received the Most Improved Player of the Year saying Jack had really come out of his shell this year and was making a wonderful sound on Solo Baritone. The band also voted for its Bandperson of the year, the award was presented to the solo euphonium player Stephen Graham.
