Beginning - B Good if a little fast for [c]=64. Nevertheless well graded dynamics. B Rhythmically lacking but good [dim] into D b.75 cnt rushes slightly. F perc + hrns not entirely synchronised. I not well balanced in the accents. M Beautful cnt solo 163. Basses not quite in tune and a little loud for mp. 173 nice flg, trb, hrn and euph – well done. R good sense of arrival and this builds well in to T T good (bit loud) V as B Super dynamic contract at Y Some intonational problems but generally well graded to close. Quite a well graded performance which lacked clarity in the fast sections and suffered some serious intonation problems.

Good atmosphere to open – could be more spaciously laid out (i.e. slower) B sets off at a lick and percdussion are found wanting a little – slow down! E is just clinging on to the tempo and detail is lost! I has some over-cooking sounds in basses and it doesn’t hang together at J L is well handled M nice spacious playing from s. cnt but chording is not accurate in tuning. O mutes nicely done but basses are a little lumpy . P Good contributions from all soloists R is successful, so too S and good build to [fff] before T V lacks some detail and ensemble is loose, then at Z the basses are playing too loud which encourages everyone!! CC looses control, then making such an immediate ‘molto rall’ (which should be gradual) means that the sustain is lost through to end. You sounded like you enjoyed it, thanks!
